I have a friend who bought just such a penthouse in Naples. There are teams who can come in and get rid of all of that. You might just pick up a bargain there, because nobody will want the mess.

Just a thought.

Honestly it is not a bad idea. I just am a little concerned about what damage might be hidden. These people were quite reckless.

Redqueenmeg has been giving me some pointers on it so it is not out of the realm of possibilities, I just need to do the research on the cost as my budget is quite thin for this.

That's the point! You will get it for low enough that there will be the extra money to have a professional smoke cleaning done. This includes inside all air vents, sealing walls, floors etc. You can get it for a STEAL!

I have to admit I am very tempted. heh, I even have the entire house furniture planned out if I get the place.

The office will be upstairs with light colored wood floors, probably going to have a evergreen Motief (SP?). The downstairs will probably have stained white, black and mahagony concrete floors to match the furniture I have not decided on the walls yet. The bedrooms will probably have a blue and white motief with a base colored carpet. Since the kitchen connects to the living room, I am not sure if I want to blend the mahogony, black and white into it or not.

I may just change all that and swap the bedroom blues with the living room reds (i.e. bedrooms red pattern and mainrooom and kitchin blues.

Blues and green are my favorites, but I have learned that it can easily be too much of a good thing.
