I happened to go in on their final day here and it was around...70% I think. Though I think they were taking any offer.

There was this other store, a clothing chain, that was closing one of its stores. The evil bastards took all the good merchandise and sent it to their other stores, then had all their outlets dump the unwanted crap at the closing store...and then they had the nerve to have a "going out of business sale" with prices cut between 15 and 30%.

It worked, though, as people were like "OOoh, this MUST be a bargain then" and bought stuff by the truckload.

That's pretty good -- Last time I went, I think they were down to 30 or 40% on some things. But did they have anything good left by the time they got to 70%?

I was closely watching their price on a Canon HV30 camcorder. Last time it was down to $625, which is good but not "everything must go" good. And still more than I want to spend on a single item right now.

"and sent it to their other stores, then had all their outlets dump the unwanted crap at the closing store"

That's disgusting. There ought to be regulations for sales -- especially liquidation sales.
