Example of 1st Person Past Tense RP: When I first left home, I wasn't sure what to do with myself. It was so different, living on me own, with no one to..do things for me. Yes, that was exactly the trouble I was having. When I lived at home, dad had always been around to wake me up for class, and to take me places, and to make dinner. Dad was always around to do those things for me. Things that are so simple, that I suppose I went and took them for granted.
It's hard now, but I'm getting better than I was. I used to over sleep for class, and for work..I was almost fired, in fact. After that, I went and bought myself an alarm clock. I think it helps some, but mostly Hanabi helps too. Sometimes, she'll just show up before Film Studies and let herself in and have that look on her face as she nudges me.
Yes, Hanabi helps. She's no dad, but I don't know what I would do without her.
