Today I had a very interesting and eye opening experience. Over the years I have heard the the phrase Walk your Talk many many times. Today is the first time I've had a viseral responce to that notion.

Living in the south has made me really look at my faith and stand up for my beliefs. For the second time I had a client ask me if I was Christian. ( Read more... )

Good on you for being true to yourself! I recently had an experience where a colleague mentioned a Disney movie was a corrupting force to children because it included characters practicing voodoo and magic. And, le gasp, they weren't all evil! I still wish I had stood up for my own practices, but I guess you have to pick your battles...

Ah, yes. I remember when I lived down South. The first question they ask is "What Church do you go to?" (And it had better be a Baptist one, too, Episcopalian didn't seem to count). The second question was "Who's your team?" And they meant which men's college basketball team. The only correct answers were UNC (Chapel Hill, not any of the others) or Clemson...
