How would an open acknowledgment of a relationship between Kara and Lee impact the relationship between Lee and Bill?
The closest we ever got was after Kara died and Bill is telling Lee not to quantify his loss and Lee has a burst of emotion and snarls that his dad has no frakking idea what Kara meant to him. But of course Bill pretends not see and stubbornly thinks Lee sees Kara as a friend or sister. But I'd love to see an eventual acknowledgement...even though I'm scared of what would happen.
If I had to guess, I'd say Bill would be judgemental and disappointed. Lee would probably be defiant and not care while Kara wouldn't be able to handle papadama rejecting her relationship with Lee. She would absolutely take it as a rejection of her.
During "Revelations" Bill suffers a mental break after learning that Tigh is one of the Final Five and he allows Lee to help pick up the pieces. Will this change their relationship? Is it going to have more or less of an impact than what they find on Earth?I can't wait to find out. Maybe Bill

I tend to completely agree with you and that upsets me because I really do want Papadama to be more accepting of his surviving children than that. And Kara already has enough issues regarding being in a relationship.
I'm pretty sure there won't be any swaggering and I'm curious to see who Adama's going to lean on because Lee's not going to be there every day anymore and Tigh's been yanked out of that position.
At the end of "Six of One" Lee has left the military for a political role. How will this impact the Adamas' relationship?
Honestly, I think Lee's decision to leave the military is only going to strengthen their relationship in the long run. Lee's lived in his father's shadow for so long, and I think to a certain extent Lee resents Bill for that. By taking on a political role Lee is in a way taking hold of his own life and has a chance to stand on his own two feet without the specter of his father's expectations haunting him.
And I do believe that while Bill initially sees this as a betrayal, eventually he's going to be proud of his son's decisions.
I totally agree with your comment. Lee needs to step out and establish his own identity and while he might have been able to do that while still in the military before the attack, now there's just no way to get away from Bill.
I think, in a somewhat indirect way that Lee has acknowledged the relationship between Bill and Laura. He asks about the President staying in his quarters and later when Bill insists on taking the raptor Bill says he cant live without her. I think Lee knows exactly how that feels. He isn't going to judge his father for that. Is he going to be sure that Democracy is upheld even though the Government and military leader are sharing quarters? You bet. That is who he is.
One of my biggest hopes for the end of the show is Papa's acknowledgement of Lee and Kara cause that would tie up a really loose end!
when Bill insists on taking the raptor Bill says he cant live without her.
Yes, that's sort of pushed the issue beyond ignoring. Captain Democracy is going to be keeping an eye out for undue influence, but I think Bill's vote in the Baltar trial shows that he at least can separate. Plus on the other side Lee's now a part of the government. :)
