The Ties that Bind

Hey, kids. I'm sorry, I didn't get around to doing the quotes this week. I'm sure you all are cool with that, right?

I wish someone had said something funny in this episode that I could use as an LJ cut )

nonspoiler, s4, ties that bind

Was there maybe a subtext in the passage that Adama read Roslin? Maybe? Possibly?

Ahahahaha, yeaaaahhh. Just maybe.

Why are all the pilots on the Demetrius?

The 'Special Destiny' express picked them up to take them to the North Pole.

Are you sad to see Cally go?

Yes, I thought it was horrible; though it definitely gave some more definition to Tory's character.

Isn't it odd that Cally's been on edge since the nebula?

*nods* Though I'm guessing it's either a fake clue or supposed to be some reflection of how Tyrol has also been on edge since then.

Just what is Zarek playing at - to what end is he manipulating Lee?

I don't think Zarek has really ever wanted the Presidency. He'd rather be the power behind the throne, not the target on it. I do think Lee is manipulating Zarek as much as Zarek is manipulating Lee, but won't elaborate as this is supposed to be non-spoiler.

Subtext? Nah. All in your mind.

What was more disturbing, Boomer kissing Cavil, or Cally's frozen corpse

Boomer snogging Cavil, no question. Though seeing either one of them again would be enough to give me nightmares for weeks. *shudders*

Why are all the pilots on the Demetrius?

Adama clearly thought there hadn't been enough armporn in season 4.

Tory says she doesn't entirely hate being a Cylon, I'd say she revels in it. Thoughts?

I'd say that, in her mind, being a Cylon gives her license to push past those ethical boundaries she'd already been bumping up against. In a way, I think Tory sees being a Cylon as freeing - she's no longer accountable to the bounds of human ethics and rules.
