Mildly diverting--I've always been amused by Harmony and I like the way this issue turned things around on the good guys; she was always good for that--but can we return to the plot plz? It's not like they have to come up with a ton of it to fill a real issue. That's the thing that bugs me about the comics--it's like trying to drink from an eyedropper (as opposed to the proverbial fire hose).

Although I do suspect that "Slayers as bad guys" being the popular view does contribute to the overall theme of the season.

I thought the first few pages were like, what's. going. on. reading. kinda. dissociated. what.

But after that I thought it was pretty good! Not really a massive high-end issue, but amusing nevertheless. I liked Soledad (the Hispanic Slayer) and the similarities made between being part of a street gang and Buffy's Slayer-girl-group. I liked Soledad's personality too, it seemed like she really had one. And Jane Espenson's sense of humor and visual jokes -- ha! The centaur!Dawn/horse stuff in the background literally made me laugh out loud.

Other stuff of the good:

- Soledad talking to Buffy: "Crappy connection."
- Queen Puffles of Pomerania -- nobody messes with the completely ridiculous pet names! Hey, my fish is called Pnub and my rabbit's gonna be called Pudding. It's the way it's supposed to be.
- "... see me with my friends who you can cast people for- The Harmony/Soledad fight at the end. Dunno why, maybe 'cause it was good to follow or something ( ... )
