Spike's Sires?

In the episode School Hard, Xander hears Spike call Angel his Sire.  He even makes a point of mentioning it at the end of the episode.  When does this information make it to the rest of the Scoobies?  I could have sworn it was mentioned in Season Two, but I've been through all the episodes looking for it, and I just can't find it

Xander asked Angel Xander: Hey, what's the deal with you being Spike's sire? What's a sire? at the end of a scene. Angel's reply wasn't shown.

I don't think it's directly mentioned again until Fool For Love when Spike tells Buffy about his siring.

Huh. That just seems awfully weird, don't you think, that Xander would just let it go like that? Well, that must be why I couldn't find it then. It's just not in there. Thanks for your help!
