Angel's Car?

Hey guys, I'm back.  I'm trying to figure out if we actually see Angel drive a car while he lives in Sunnydale.  I found a picture of the 1967 Plymouth convertible that he drives in Angel the Series in the BtVS/Angel Wikki but there's no mention of it being used in Buffy.  Actually, the only thing they do mention is that Spike called it the Angel

I can't think of any examples at all.

The only possible mention I can think of is from 'What's My Line' when he and Buffy go ice-skating at "a rink out past Route 17", which sounds like it's pretty far away from Sunnydale. But there's no mention of how they got there; maybe they walked, or took a bus, or got a cab. Otherwise, I can only think of examples of Angel being driven by other people in their cars (Whistler, Jenny), never him driving himself.

On the other hand, I wouldn't rule out that there were conversations between Angel and Cordelia on one hand and the Scoobies on the other during BtVS 4 / AtS 1 that happened off-camera. Remember, when Oz arrives in LA in 'In The Dark' he already knows that Angel is running a detective agency, although we never saw that mentioned on screen before that.

Oh, good point. They had to know somehow, didn't they?

And as for examples of his being driven by others, I think Cordelia mentions Angel had been in her car at some point before he becomes Angelus, because they're talking about dis/un-invite spells, and she wants them to do one on her car. Pretty sure that's canon and not fanon. I have a problem remembering which is which sometimes, which is why I come here. *g*

That is canon.

I can't think of any examples of us actually seeing Angel driving a car in while he lived in Sunnydale. There was that one scene set in LA from the episode "Becoming part 1". The transcript describes the car as "an old, rusted Chevy Impala
with its windows spray-painted black".

Also, thanks for confirming that Cordelia's car scene was in fact canon. Maybe my memory isn't as bad off as I thought! *g*
