Who: Buffy, Willow, Tara, later the Doctor and Rose Where: Sunnydale Cemetery When: Night, around ten pm What: Regular Vampire Patrol, with a little surprise at the end Status: Incomplete
Although she had been training all day, Buffy was far from tired. She was ready to get some real non-dummy action in and do quite a bit of slaying. And of course, she had her two witchy assistants. One of whom, she knew, was totally and completely used to it, but she wasn't sure how Tara would handle it

For some time now, Willow had been trying to reassure Tara that she was going to do fine and she would be great. And yes, Buffy did want her along or she wouldn't have asked. While Willow understood the need for Tara to take things slow? She really wished the other girl wouldn't feel like an outsider when Willow knew she wasn't.
By nightfall the two witches had made their way to the cemetery and waited there for Buffy. Willow armed with a stake, holy water and several pouches of magical powder she could throw at demons combined with a spell she thought were really nifty.
"It's mostly improvising, sweetie," Willow said, rubbing a hand up and down her gilfriend's arm. "You'll be great at it, you'll see. Before you know it you're like a total pro." She nodded, smiling brightly at the other girl in a way he hoped was encouraging.
Even if she didn't always show it, Tara actually found Willow's reassuring very helpful. It was that that mostly kept her from declining any sort of invitation and hiding in her dorm room. Unfortunately, hiding was just kind of her natural inclination. It was a long ago ingrained habit for Tara now. It would be hard to shake completely

"Great!" Buffy said enthusiastically. She didn't want Tara to get discouraged, especially hunting vampires. And if you weren't doing it since you were sixteen, or helping since you were sixteen (like Willow), it was a pretty wacky world to get into to.
"Don't worry, Tara, You're with two old pros here. We'll show you the ropes and whatever other wrestling slang there is," she said, laughing to herself. She hoped she was being encouraging as she walked through the various areas of the cemetery casually.
She spotted some moving dirt ahead, "Ooh, jackpot." She grinned at the two witches, pressing forward and motioning them to follow. Yes, maybe she was a little too eager these days, but she might as well enjoy slaying if it was her destiny and all. A hand popped out of the fresh dirt and she stood at the foot of it, folding her hands as the vampires crawled slowly out of the grave.
Sure, she could just kill him while he oh-so-slowly crawled out of the grave, but where was the fun in that?
