This is my list for the 2010 50 Book Challenge [obviously] and I will be writing reviews for all of these books...eventually. *lol* I have participated in this "challenge" for almost three years now (first year was 2008) and have yet to reach my [first] goal of 50 books in one year. Should I ever make it to 50 - and I still have time - I will move ( Read more... )

I think reading Macroeconomics should count as ten books at least! Adam reads books like those - I can't do it, I get so bored! It's not the subject matter, which is interesting, but the style of writing. I guess I really do need personal stories to engage my interest :)

Hehe… I agree! Occasionally I get the urge to improve myself by picking up a heavy book on economics, but they're so dry that I usually give up fairly quickly!

LOL I wish! But, in my counting, I can only count it as one (and not be plagued by guilt as if I were cheating on the challenge XD). And, in all truth, I only read it for school - I would rarely read a book on economics, otherwise. *lol* I understand its importance and I'm not bad at understanding it, I just have no real interest in it (like math or science, it often seems boring to me and just doesn't appeal).

But, that being said, there are only a few handful of books that make it sound interesting or tell it in a different way that will usually get me reading about a subject I normally find tedious (but then, that's usually how it goes, yes? ;) ).
