Street Fighter IV Challenge Mode

Okay, I can't be the only person having trouble with this so if any one has any advice or suggestions, lets talk about it. I'm trying go through some of the challenge modes and its not as easy I thought it would be. It starts off simple enough but by the time I get to level 4 I hit a brick wall. Here's an example. I'm on level 4 with Guile and ( Read more... )

I can't read the text of whatever they want me to do in a challenge. I need an HDTV like a motherfucker to get that done.

I have everyone unlocked except Akuma, Gouken, and of course Seth.

I watched the movie I got with the game last night. It's definitely a set up for the game. It was different than what i expected though, because it didn't have that animated Ryu vs Akuma fight they had on Gametrailers last Summer.

The game is very awesome. I'm gonna play some more after checking the internets.

Oh man, that sucks! I don't know if you know this already or not but you can hit select during the challenges and it will change the display from the name of the required move to the motion you need to press. Although, even that is still pretty damn small. Write a letter to Capcom, maybe they'll make a patch for it down the road?

I really want to watch that movie. Where the hell did the Ryu & Ken vs Akuma animation come from then?

I don't know if it's in the game, or if it was just to promote the Akuma and Gouken being in the game. It really did set the expectation of a badass Ryu vs Akuma fight, but Akuma's not even in the movie! They actually kept the cast to like 8 characters from the game + Eliza.

Uh, with inputs like that it better be a 50% combo at least! And actually be practical. Its not really impossible to figure out, its just really...new, and having only played the game for about 3 hours its hard to get used to. Pretty different for a game that famed itself on being just like Street Fighter II.

Tony says it has to do with the timing in this game for the combos.

(hijack)

"Yeah its me nigga. I'm hijackin me some LJ to drop knowledge on that ass.
A buncha those combos in that mode are impractical as hell to me, its not glitched up at all, the timing is just TIGHT AS FUCK...like fuckin VIRGIN ASIAN TIGHT...

Like it took me 10 minutes to link cr.strong twice with Ryu. But this cr.strong x2 challenge was like on level 3 or 4. That shit was hard and impractical lol.

Happy ass beatings bro."

Yeah, some of these combos are just stupid. I hate how almost every combo begins with a jump attack. With all the Ryu fags out there, jumps will be done as little as possible.

Yeah, after playing at Kents and playing mine this morning I finally realized that you're supposed to dash after a focus attack to combo afterwards.

Seth, you cheap bastard. No wonder you're voiced by Blackbeard.

I have yet to face the challenge mode yet, but as of a couple days ago, Abel is my main and I don't know what I'm gonna do in challenge as many of his inputs are not so fun...
