I got my first copyright claim on YouTube today. The video titled “Jacon ’07 Part 2” or more popularly known as “The Fat Brolly Video” has been muted by YouTube. Cristine informed me that when she tried watching the video, there was no audio. I checked it today and this was sent to my account:

That's FUCKING BULLSHIT because of one song they disabled the WHOLE TRACK! You what you should do is take down the video and reload back up. You shouldn't let YouTube fuck with your videos.

I don't know if you knew this already, but Brandon's Dane Cook/Gintama amv got taken down a few days ago too. He tried to re-upload it and it wouldn't let him. I don't get it. That video has been up for almost 2 years and NOW they decide to take it down. Plus, every other video I have up has copyritten songs in them! You're right, it is bullshit, but unfortunately there isn't really anything I can do about it.

Yeah I knew. I don't get how they're doing this, its retarded. Yes YOU CAN! You can do something about it. Just post them somewhere else. Actually I've been thinking this for awhile but why not post them up on the Summasault website that's where they belong anyways. I know what you're thinking "But I can't do that dumbass!" DO IT FAGGOT!! Ask Adrian to make section on the site where you can put the videos. If he can't then we all got to sit down and come up with a plan cause I know it can be done.

I don't think its so much YouTube, I think its more "WMG" or Warner Music Group. I've seen a lot of videos coming up lately about how groups like Warner Bros. and Viacom have basically become copyright Nazis over the past year. Its sucks.

I looked in my videos folder and I do indeed still have that video. I don't now if I'll change the song and re-upload it or just cut everything else and just upload Fat Brolly only. Either way, Fat Brolly will be back!
