That's the hardest part of having pets... my condolences to you and everyone that loved pixel. pets become such a huge part of the family, you should never have to apologize for feeling bad and wanting to share after losing what sounds like an important part of your family.

if anyone understands the love for kiddens, I do (and shannon). not a part of being a kidden parent i'm looking forward to at all!

Thanks. We visited the vet today to try to get some closure. She can't figure it out either. Apparently the way she died was most likely complete kidney failure -- but she had her kindey chemistry tested in December, and it was in good condition, and neither overdosing or underdosing on insulin could have caused it. She wasn't that old. Nobody can figure out what happened.
