You know those boring posts soon after Xmas...
where you write what you ate and what you got...
I had a traditional danish Xmas and a traditional danish new years eve. In any kind of sense... food (there must be a special department in the muslims' hell for the danish :D They eat pork, and pork, and some more pork, and they wash it down with beer and snaps (rather strong liquor, good taste, and the extra useful feature of making you able to eat some more!).
At the Xmas eve's dinner we had duck, and the ris alamande (I've seen so many spellings that I don't know if it's the right one, but it should be).
The day after we had all the traditional dishes: cod, makerel, eel, salmon, pike (not 100% sure about the last... mmm...) with rugbrød and various sauces/toppings... and of course snaps and beer!
Then we had frikadeller (meatballs) and pork meat in various way... of course with more beer and snaps.
As for the gifts. we got various interesting things, but the best was money to buy a TV... that we bought of course. So now we can finally REALLY enjoy the movies we have.
That of course includes "The simpsons movie" *sings spiderpig in background* and the latest HP.
Rikke decided that it was not enough, so she crashed her PC to buy a new one :D
mmm... what else... oh, new years eve.
So, we went to some friends of her family, nice people btw, and we enjoyed a traditional dinner. I was scared in the beginning, I'm not a fan of asparagus soup and smoked pork meat boiled... but as a matter of fact it was really well prepared. Now, whoever of you had a wonderful italian dinner had it better, but still, it was really good and different from what I'm used to.
To close it of course fireworks, and some more fireworks... and some more.
All the rest is going rather fine, I'm back to school, except that the new one is impressively boring and slow! GRRRRRR
I guess I'll leave and prepare my dinner... pizza :D
