If you haven't been to your local library lately, you should go.  If you have, give yourself a pat on the back; you're doing your bank account a huge favor.  It never ceases to amaze me that people actually pay for books (at ~$6.99+), magazines ($1-$2), video rentals ($2.50+), and CD's ($10+) they've never heard.  I can understand the occasional ( Read more... )

I prefer to go to B&N and read books that I later do not buy. 1. There's a cafe where I can eat food (though I often bring that myself as well) 2. NO ONE BOTHERS ME.

I used to do that when there was a Borders near me :) The mall where I live now doesn't have a bookstore. It's kind of ridiculous.

I guess there's an advantage to living where I do--in the Valley of Malls. I can take my pick of three.
