Ooooooh you tease! :)

This was really good though. I liked the look inside Brennan's head and I loved how her casual clothes threw Booth for a loop.

Honestly, I was going to write the sex, but Booth wanted to keep talking and I didn't have time to whip him into shape before the deadline. ;-)

Thanks.

But she’d looked at the bones and wondered how they’d lived, not how they’d died.

as i was reading, i was like, that's booth's fault...and then

It was, Tempe had decided, all Booth’s fault.

bones and i are on the same page ;o)

i love how casual tempe has such an impact on bones, and i'm sure angela would love to know that her gift was such an inspiration!

thanks for sharing :o)

hehe :D That idea (Bones thinking about life) was one that's really been stuck in my head since I first saw this ep and it sort of dragged the rest of the fic in around it.

You know, for me, Booth has this picture of Tempe that he forces himself to hold to and when she softens it blows his mind. Also, can't you just picture Ange giving her silly little gifts to try to get her to pamper herself more? ;-)

Thanks.

i'm surprised angela hasn't yet blackmailed her into going on some spa-day or temperance-MUST-have-fun day- or else.

and i really liked that idea of bones contemplating life. it's very scientific, of course, to cut out the emotional aspect of things, but she sometimes takes that to a new level. i haven't had a chance to watch bones in a while, so i think i missed that episode of which you speak.

It's this year's Christmas episode. The last one that aired before the writer's strike. There's a running discussion on the values of perpetuating the Santa Claus myth and the meaning of the holidays, esp re: kids. It might be possible to provide you with a copy if you're interested.

Yay! Thank you! It's lovely. And the optional prompt was just that--optional. Despite what kiss_me_cassie might mock. ;)
