I totally agree with you that he doesnt fit his own description at times. I mean, if he says u shouldnt believe a war stroy, but he swears that his is true, then why is he wasting his time? we are supposed to be skeptical, but he is trying to convince us that he is credible. make up ur mind, geeze!
Hey watz up! so I don't get confused with O'briens writting style but it does make me think a little bit more. Its not like one of those books that just like you read it once and you understand it completely. With the Things They Carried i actually have to step back once in a while and think about what i just read. In the begging i was really confused but after going to some of the links that were recommended from prompt numero tres a lot of things were really cleared up for me and i was able to read a little bit more with out having to stop and think about it as much.
