Ok here is the deal I'm trying/thinking about getting my husband a Wii for Christmas. I found one on Craig's list, but I know nothing about these systems (all I know is a PS3 is waaaaaaaay out of my price range, unless some random Santa Clause wants to plop one in my lap for free) So here is what I need help with is $350 a good price for ( Read more... )

It's not a great price, but I would say it's about average. I'm thinking about selling mine for the same price and I have two controllers, two nunchucks, zelda, wii sports, and red steel. It's definitely an average price.

You should be able to get one new, but you had better look now. A new one will run you $250 and the extra controller (in case you want to play too,) will run you at least $40. Games on average are the norm of $50 and the system should come with Wii Sports. I would honestly just get a new one. That way you will know for sure that it is in new condition. The Wiis have been in short supply since their release date, so if you want to buy a new one, it's going to be a little dicey. Oh, and good luck!

Honestly, you're probably better off getting a new one if you can find one. I am always leery myself of buying something used from someone I don't know, so if it is not a huge bargain I won't do it. You can get a new one plus all that stuff for around the same price, so why risk buying a faulty one from someone you don't know?
And by the way, the Wii kicks major ass.

"the Wii kicks major ass"

thats what im hearing and i'm not a big fan of video games (i've only played a few like 4 or 5 maybe in my life) but i think if i do get the husband one it might just end up being just as much for me as for him.

yeah i'm kinda second guessing about buying from a stranger since this is a pretty large sum of money (to me any way)
