Who: Leon and the unfortunate welcome wagon.
What: Another arrival.
Where: The train station, wherever he winds up after that.
When: Morning.

You can only wake up on an alien planet so many times before the whole process becomes a bit of a bore. Unfortunately for Leon, not only did he have a little ways to go before he hit that mark, alien universes probably didn't count.

Of course, he probably would have been angry even if he was some sort of experienced dimension hopper. He wanted to go home. He'd been assured that Mama and Papa were alright, and he wasn't going to call the Nedians liars after a sacrifice like that, but he was a scientist. He didn't believe good news until he saw the proof, and he didn't see any proof right now. All he saw was a gigantic wall of water.

He didn't find it overly strange; any experienced mage could defy physics in such a way if they were willing to expend the magical energy for its upkeep. As for its purpose, he was too annoyed to contemplate such a thing, especially with his own energy reserves as low as they were. If he were at full power, he'd have parted the lake himself, but he'd just fought what was quite possibly the single most powerful being in the universe without including secret bosses. Leon was, to use layman's terms, pooped.

He slumped down onto the ground, pulling his knees to his chest and frowning. At least he still had the energy to be irritable. His friends and family weren't dead this time, for the most part; he wasn't going to cry. But damn it, he was going to sulk like hell.
