"I don't even know what mana is," Nozomi admitted, scratching the back of her head. "But maybe we can use the gross grey mush for fuel! Nobody eats it anymore, and it never runs out!"

"You don't...?" He sighed. It was like Lloyd all over again...which Genis found he didn't mind. He started talking in a voice like he was reciting, one hand pulling out his kendama which he started idly playing with: toss-catch, toss-catch, toss-catch.

"Mana is the foundation of all life...in my world, I don't know about yours. Without mana, won't grow and magic becomes unusable. Also, if there's no mana, the Summon Spirits that protect our world can't survive. But elves and half-elves," the 'half-elves' said with an ever so slightly defiant emphasis, though if anyone were to ask Genis about this he wouldn't know what they were talking about, "can use it to cast spells. Like this. Thunder Blade!"

A bright burst of lightning was unleashed some distance away, leaving charred ground behind.

Now, if there was one thing Bumblebee was well attuned to besides the controls of Ninja Gladiator, it was things exploding. Sometimes he even got to help them explode. He was still getting used to this place - might as well see what was up, especially if it was interesting as the sudden, loud whump of thunder promised it to be.

So the sudden blast managed to catch his attention easily, speeding to check it out - in robot mode, this time. "Whoa! What's going on over here?"

"Whaaa!?" Nozomi pointed and flailed at the new giant robot whatever-it-was. "Who are you? What are you? Don't scare us like that!" As panicked as she was, she sounded a lot more used to random weird humanoid strangers showing up than a normal person would be.
