i am so tired of not having a kid. i am starting to believe that it is not so bad to be a single mom! i, of course, have to wait at least another year so that i do not reverse the surgery process, but I really want one. i've been watching bella (daniels cousin ericas baby!) every weekend for the past few weekends and i am just in love! im so tired ( Read more... )

take it from someone who hasnt seen her dad since she was 3 and had to deal with a stressed out single mom who could hardly make ends meet..its better to at least TRY to have a father that will be involved/help out.

I've been a child of a single mom of 2, my brother and I have different dads. My life has been great considering. I met my father when I was 9 and it wasn't very life-shattering. He would occasionally send money to me for holidays and birthdays but his ex-wife was jealous I existed so I never really got to see him. I'm 21 now and haven't seen him in about 6 years, and you know what? I'm okay with that! My mom works as a patient advocate for a psychiatric hospital, she has clinical depression so that's what made t hard for her. we had help from my grandparents to keep the house when her wages got garnished, but I think I turned out alright, so has my brother.

I support single moms everywhere, if they are willing to give the love and care... go for it. If you can't find a good man that you think could be father material, have you considered in vitro fertilization or adoption? I've considered adoption but I won't have kids for a few more years anyway, thanks implanon! As elizabethsheryl says, it is nice to have the extra support of the father in the ( ... )
