Really I was the one to get you in Germany/France? Ahah, I'm amazed, gladly amazed! (just curious: is there a fanart of mine in paritcular that got you into the pair?)
This comic; I have it in my Memories. x"D (Though it feels like fail saying so; WHATEVER, I LOVE IT. ♥ ) I think this pairing got me into shipping less run-of-the-mill pairings, other than US/UK, ect--though I'd never had an interest in Germany/Italy, so I easily began shipping pairs like Germany/Austria, and so on...
Now my OTP is currently France/America, with Germany/France tailing close... I guess that makes my love for France-niisan shine all the more, though:

I have never particularly liked USUK (actually, when I was really active in the hetalia main comm I was near to hate it :| Luckily I escaped before it happend), and in the beginning Germany/Italy was my OTP, but when I got interested in History I found out how this pair is not correct at all. And I'm from Italy, so I can say it with proves.
And I've never been actually interested in pairings with US (EXCEPT US/EU AHAHA OH GOD I SHIP THEM SO MUCH), maybe because I haven't studied it at school for good yet. So I know more or less nothing about US/France, but it could be interesting :')
Oh, also, I'm happy that comic was useful to someone! I actually saw a lot of mistakes in the draws orz|| I would like to remake it, but I'm a procrastinator, so I don't know if I ever do it.
Well, school is one of the worst part of Italy, almost all the teens my age have difficoults speaking standard Italian. There's a party in Italy that wants the north divided from the south. The south is really poor and corrupted, everything is a mess down there, unauthorized houses, close mentality (even though I think the northern part is actually closer than the southern), decay. When people wants help, the government just nods and pass over, actually ignoring the request. I hate so much Berlusconi, and I think the people who voted him this time were a bunch of idiots or just old people who wanted to see conservators once again at the power.
Then ok, there's beautiful art, wonderful food, the people are cheerful etc etc. But I don't see the point in all this if it's just for turists :| And yes, Italians do take advantages of tourists, because they're cheaters and liars.
