I can see you being floored here. Send me a prezzie.

Completely floored. I am in shock. I am agog.

Dude, seriously, the only men you find attractive are fictional and/or Eccleston. I'm supposed to be shocked?

Hmm, how about, "The Guide to the Bubonic Plague for Lesbian Geeks Who Love Science and Archaeology?"

Oh fuck. Eccleston. You would bring him up in my Big Gay Post. God. I just...oh fuck, I want that. Fuck.

Please tell me that's not how you really told your mother.

Well, it's me, y'know, so I am sorta...well, me, and...

My mom actually wishes that I was gay. Weird, huh.

My mom thinks I'm gay, because I have so many gay female friends.

I think mine does too. When I came out as an atheist, she completely wigged out. At least she doesn't think lesbians go to hell.

You know, I think stating you are an atheist actually gets you more lectures.

Does Hallmark make a card for this occasion? Because if they did, I would totally send you one ;)

Good for you dearie :) I hope your mom embraces the good of this soon.

Spike thinks you're aces. And he may want to watch if you and Angie hook up.

Hahahahaha. Why thanks! Though, really? The idea of Spike's running commentary during sex is offputting. Kinda like his running commentary while taking a dump would be.

I sometimes wonder how my mum would have coped if I'd told her I was gay back when I thought I might be. My best friend came out (to everyone who didn't already know since she was like...5) when she was about 25 and suddenly my mum didn't know how to make dinner conversation with her anymore. I once mentioned 'Tipping The Velvet' in her presence and mu mum kicked me under the table.

So maybe half-assedly is the way to go with some mums. Kind of cushions the blow and allows them to acclimatise ;)

My mom's a cool mom, too! She's just oddly prejudiced against gay women. Not men, women...

She'll get the fuck over it.
