There is now a B-T subreddit! Sadly there aren't that many people around here anymore, maybe because LJ is being abandoned in general. Which really means there is no place to discuss B-T. The fandom on Tumblr is great, but it's exactly frustration with Tumblr's inability to

I will ever understand why people are leaving livejournal in favor of Facebook, tumblr or blogspot.

I also like LiveJournal better, as far as I can tell it is the only platform that encourages posting long, rambling, journal-style posts <3 In other words - it needs you to care, not just press "reblog" and spare half-sentences (#so #many #feels!). That is probably also its downfall. Free flow of images and ideas, less resistance on the personal level, the group mind - it's what the internet is best at, and LJ is trying to emulate a mode of communication that developed in completely different circumstances. It's lack of integration with other websites does't help either.

But I'm rambling (: Long story short - I don't want to leave, but I have no one to talk to here any more! In comparison, reddit seems to be doing fine. Thought we'd have a better shot salvaging what we can and establishing a new community on reddit than trying to revive LJ.

The problem with livejournal is that it's at it's best when used on a proper screen (netbook, laptop, computer) and not mobile. I never use it mobile, so I get to happily benefit fully from it, but I've heard from friends that for instance they can't comment to an lj post with their facebook on mobile and such. And if bloggers don't get comments they tend to move to platforms that do get them comments (such as Blogspot), concequences to their privacy and content be damned. I don't care about receiving comments, I blog because I like it. If people read it: awesome. If not, well I'm not doing them for them in the first place so whatever :)

Oh I like that! Thanks for taking that initiative. I also miss the convos, it's been ages. I know people tried to resurrect this before, to no avail, but I think since TigerPal left it's been gone daddy gone. I sure miss her cute-ness and everyone's passionate discussion!

I just signed on to your subreddit (with a different user name). Now to figure out how to comment, haha :)
