AOS Frustrated Jim

Jim offered to take it slow because Bones wasn't fully over the divorce. And in spirit he's totally willing. But it's been Years. Literally. Jim's been faithful the entire time and has always respected the boundaries Bones sets. But when Bones stops them 99% of the way to naked without so much as a good fondling Jim cracks a bit. He demands Bones make up his mind. They can finally get it on or they can walk away. Happy ending preferred but not a deal breaker. Reboot, with the relationship beginning either at the academy or the end of the film.

He tasted like Ghirardelli’s Chocolates and Jack Daniel’s Whiskey and felt like soft butter and warm ocean current. Jim slipped a hand around the back of his neck and pulled him closer, tasting their shared dessert in the deepest, warmest corners of his pliant mouth. Jim smiled against those oh-so-fucking-soft lips and purred in ecstasy. But when Jim pressed his body closer and slipped his other hand down to the hem of a blue uniform shirt, the soft lips suddenly stiffened and closed, and a pair of hands appeared at his chest, pressing him away from the warmth and soft and sweet. Jim sighed and let himself be pushed back. He didn’t bother to ask what the problem was, he just slid back in his seat and waited for the rambling apology-slash-lecture to start

He thought of going to the bridge, but he was already feeling fragile, unwanted. He knew that at an unannounced appearance at this hour would just look like he was checking up on them. What Jim needed was solace, not suspicion. So he roamed the halls, smiling half-heartedly at the crewmembers that greeted him on their way to or from some important something or other

I'm glad you liked it! I would have gone on actually, but the body-snatching story maker that invaded my body when I wrote this pretty much up and disappeared when they kissed. But if anyone else is interested, have at thee!

This broke my heart very much and I ... I really need Bones to see why Jim's so fucking heartbroken. So hurty! Would you consider some follow up conversation, if not the pr0ns?

OP seconds this request. Because Bones didn't seem to get it and it is all angstastic, but in the end I want them to get each other enough to have a real chance...

author's note: lol so I had no intention of going past that kiss, because I kinda like it when stories end at the end of a scene, but OP wanted a little more, so I tried eek out a little more. This probably still isn't enough, but I tried! :)

The long walk back to the captain’s quarters was silent, and not very companionable. Leonard could feel the eyes of the crew on him, and swallowed down his general paranoia. This was beta shift, they rarely got to see Kirk or McCoy in person. It was simple curiosity, nothing more. They certainly had no idea that Jim had just had a little breakdown in the Observation Deck, or that they’d spent the last five minutes of said breakdown trading saliva like hormonal teenagers that just found out they were going to different schools in the fall.
Leonard’s step faltered; Jim had paused. Leonard backpedaled half a step. They were in front of his quarters. Jim was still sore. Raw, his mind helpfully provided. Whatever. His own quarters would do just as well. Leonard stepped through the

That was the first time in the five years he’d known Jim Kirk that he’d ever called him Leonard to his face. He’d thought a million times he’d be happy to outgrow that stupid ass nickname. He never thought it would hurt like this. Without meaning to, his face crumpled. “Jim, please… I…” He threw his hands up, part supplication, part frustration, and an angry sob tore through his throat. “I don’t know what the hell you want from me!”
“I want you to trust me. Why don’t you ever fucking trust me?! ” Jim’s face was red and close, too close. He’d never been dressed down by Kirk before, not really, but still Leonard knew that he’d never be like this, never so close to the edge.
Leonard swallowed down his fear, tried to stay calm. “What makes you think I don’t, Jim?”
“YOU NEVER TRUSTED ME!” Jim’s eyes widened. His mouth worked. And then he began to laugh. “Holy fuck, Leonard, you never trusted me! Even before this… this,” and he waved his arms like a broken windmill in a hurricane, “you never ever trusted me. And all this

Excellent companion, and now I'm good. Cause now Bones gets it. Still kinda heartbreaking, but the ah-ha moment was clear and very important. Makes it feel more like a beginning than an end, which is sort of how the kiss felt. Mostly because Jim was obviously still pissed. Loved it, don't get me wrong, but I think I love this more. Thanks again.
Reboot, with the relationship beginning either at the academy or the end of the film.
TL:DR Jim: Take me to bed or loose me forever.
