Thats horrible. She went through so much. We all have, and the president just keeps putting us down. She's a really strong lady though, to last as long as she did.
oh my god. i couldn't read the article. that picture of her son laying in that coffin. and for what? so a bunch of ppl that has never been in the military, that will never join the military, and will never see a war can put a bumper sticker on their car that reads, "these colors don't run"? or "freedom isn't free"? you know, i've often wondered if any cars in iraq have those stickers on them. probably not.
My heart just sank when I read that. I thought she was kind of nutty from grief when she first started, but damn if she didn't stick to her guns. I admire her for that. But then to become disillusioned... this whole situation just blows. She hit the nail on the head with much of her criticism in her "letter of resignation".
i finally read an article, not sure if it's the same one that you have posted. i have to say that i feel guilty. i feel guilty that i've been against this war since before it started yet not brave enuff to speak up; not even to get behind someone that had. jeff leaves july 30th and i'm already thinking that if he doesn't come back from this i may not be able to go on. i'd just die inside. i wouldn't have the strength she did
