hey mr. copywriter....

do you have any steps you take when you write material?

yeah... i basically gotta start creating copy which I hate only because you basically have to lie to people about how good a product is.

yeah... doing the research w/ the 6 basic human needs and psychology and blah blah blah... no wonder why i havent really sat down and watch television for more than 10 minutes.

got any pointers? or some links to lead me into that direction?

find an angle that you're going to approach it with before you ever write. then rule number 1 in writing copy is to write using a speaking voice. meaning, it shouldn't read like an essay, but as if you're talking to someone. then, you have to imagine who you are talking to and talk to that ONE person. if you talk to more than just one person, just as with any crowd, only a few will listen. don't spend too much time talking about product. talk about the person. why they need it. why they WANT it. ask questions. dont' use puns. keep the sentences short. keep the words simple. wrap it up nicely.

that's it!

awww man!

i thought we was playing by street rules?!? i.e. anything goes.

in that case... you da fucken man, but as my 'hoods philosophy is when you can't beat someone @ something ... "go on, have a fight. see who's the toughest" :)

i was checking out some UFC action, and on the real, i wanna get my fight on.
