"maybe just a bit fluttering in her stomach or too fast beats of heart"
Like i said, if kpop is a college, my major would be 'shipping the non-existent pairings.' Oh and the italic words are actually lyrics from Turning Page by Sleeping At Last. Warning: grammar isn't really my best friend.
I've waited a hundred years,
But I'd wait a million more for you.
She is tired. Tired of pleasing people who never get satisfied, of putting herself in danger by controlling the amount of meals she has to consume and practice dancing everyday (even hurt her ankle in the process), with or without the other 8 girls. Hyoyeon is tired and trapped, but even herself doesn’t acknowledge the feeling of wanting to be away from the spotlight, all thanks to her friends and fans. But now, she really needs a time to be alone, enjoying the night scenery in her ball gown dress and party mask, still on her face.
Her blue gown stood out so much that he can’t really take his eyes off of her at the outside balcony. Or is it just because she is Hyoyeon?
He makes his way to the balcony.
“Would you please close the door?” She remains in her place, seems unfazed.
He’s surprised that his presence doesn’t bother her at all. He doesn’t know that his presence never really bothers her, maybe just a bit fluttering in her stomach or too fast beats of heart whenever he’s around, but she can always manage. Kris doesn’t know.
He knows it’s silly to ask but still, “Not enjoying the party instead?”
“Enjoyed it a while ago, but when everyone turn up the volume and dance like there’s no tommorow, i decided to step up from the game.” She chuckles and turns to face him, a bit startled to see his tall body behind her, maybe too close. Or maybe she’s just too starstrucked, only heaven knows.
“The dancing queen decided to step up from the game even when she knows she’s the winner? Weird.” He makes a crescent moon with his eyes behind the mask.
“I hurt my ankle last week during the tango practice for Dancing With The Stars, and i don’t know if i can dance to the songs that being played inside now. Anyway, the night sky is pretty.”
She takes her mask off, to enjoy the view better. He follows what she did and starts to hum.
“Pretty, indeed.” The sky is, but he refers to another beautiful view that just got unblocked from his sight.
“Did you miss me when i’m gone?” He plays with the hem of his shirt after taking off his suit and put it on the balcony railing, tucking out his shirt as well.
“I like it better when you’re not in formal clothes, Kris. You look godly in suit, you know.”
He smiles but his eyes don’t, “You’re not answering my question.”
If I had only felt the warmth within your touch.
If I had only seen how you smile when you blush.
Or how you curl your lip when you concentrate enough.
I would've known what I was living for all along.
“You never know how much i did, Kris.”
She sighs.
She’s frustrated, the universe seems to play a game with her and no one ever told her how to play. It’s unfair how she felt a cosmic force whenever she looks at his captivating eyes. It’s unfair how she got so much things in her head but all of them swept away when he’s there, beside her. It’s unfair how much she wants him for herself.
It’s unfair how deep she fell for him.
It’s unfair. But she doesn’t mind. Little did she knows, he hopes she never get out of this game, too.
“I missed you too. I miss our private dance session too, I miss everything about you.”
“China wouldn’t be bad. Anyway, we separated only for a while, Kris. Not that we can meet each other every time when you’re in korea, as well. But yes, you got to practice more for your dance moves, you awkward los--”
He takes her hand and embraces her petite body, inhaling every scent of the woman he miss the most, closing his eyes while savoring the fact that he likes it when she’s in his arms, safe from all of the hate, bad things entertainment world would give to a fragile Hyoyeon.
“Noona, cut it out. Look at yourself. You got so much thinner, i need you to gain weight a bit, I need you to take all of the vitamins and finish up your meals, lessen your dancing practice hours, stop getting injured. I need you to finish all of the vegetables too whenever I’m not around to take them all from your plates. I need you to be alright whenever I’m in China, I can’t afford of being away and think about you and your well-being everyday, please...”
I would've known what I was living for all along.
What I've been living for.
Hyoyeon detaches herself from Kris’ embrace and takes a step backward to get a better look of this man in front of her. Or is it safe to say ‘my man’ from now on?
“Then, was it that hard to call or at least send me a message to ask how I was doing here?”
They laugh together, perfect. Kris reaches out for her hand again and kneels down.
“May i have this dance?”
“Yes you may, but stop calling me Noona, it’s frustrating.”
“And it’s Wufan for you too. Then, Hyoyeon, may i have this dance?”
Your love is my turning page,
Where only the sweetest words remain.
“But remember not to step too far with your long legs okay?” He laughs while standing up and taking out his itouch from his pouch (He can never be away from his ipod, which homescreen was a photo of him and Hyoyeon together and a pouting Hyoyeon as his lock screen), and put the earphones to their ears. He holds her body closer. And her heart closer to his.
Every kiss is a cursive line.
Every touch is a redefining phrase.
I surrender who I've been for who you are,
Nothing makes me stronger than your fragile heart.
