I just stayed up all night and crushed the fourth season of Doctor Who. I can honestly say that that was the most depressing thing I have ever seen. Keep in mind the shows I've seen and watch religously are Firefly (if you've seen Serenity you know how depressing the end of that is), Buffy (Do I really need to explain why that one is depressing). Those two shows are Joss Whedon shows and if you know Joss Whedon you know how depressing he can be. INFACT the finale of Season 1 Buffy makes me cry without fail EVERYTIME I see it. It's been at least seven years since I first saw it and I know exactly what is going to happen. Yet it always rips my heart out, throws it in a blender and just for good measure stomps on it afterwards. But this...this was WORSE so so very much worse. This made me feel like part of me died. Like I was the Doctor, not just that I was empathizing with him. I was him for those moments. I balled. Positively balled my eyes out. It feels like someone just shot my best friend.
I think the worst thing is that it's not something where people usually say "I can't imagine ..." no, this I can all too clearly imagine. I already said it before but I'll say it again for good measure.
SPOILER ALERT
Having my best friend in the entire world have to forget I exist or she'll die. I think that would pretty much be the worst pain ever. Not being able to see her...or being able to see her and her not knowing who I am. Doctor you are far stronger than I. I wouldn't be able to handle that. Having that person who understands you, I mean she's there but she's not. That pain is all too real. Congrats Russell T. Davies you just introduced me to my worst nightmare. My heart just feels...empty. So very very empty. =[
Ruth, don't you ever fucking forget me ok? NOT ALLOWED. EVER.
For everybody else, you should totally watch Doctor Who. It is without doubt the BEST show I have ever seen in my life. You can see all the episodes for free on "surfthechannel.com" I most definitely suggest it! It's wonderful. I'll give you some reasons.
1. BRITISH SHOW FTW
2. CAPTAIN JACK HARKNESS. You will love him when you meet him.
3. It's moral deliema tastic! Makes you question all kinds of things.
4. The Doctor is incredibly intriguing in every sense of the word.
5. The companions are all completely different yet still girl power to the max.
6. It will make you feel more than any show you've ever watched.
If you need more reasons just ask. =]
