I was in a simialr situation once... and the son of a bitch made it out to be my fault.. and he could see me.. we were going in opposite directions
I will say this though.. as a driver.. bikers are hard to gauge. how fast they're going and if they are going to over take you.. while driving downtown, my sister was taking a right and a bicyclist procedes to cut in front of her as she's going into her turn.. so safety for self and others is very important.. (i think the biker was in her blind spot.. and they come up quickly when your driving slowly downtown.)
Hmm, her complete lack of desire to know if you were all right and not helping you get out from underneath her car would not be considered in a positive manner by the judge presumably-they'd probably award you just because she was such a bitch.
My question is (not I am not trying to be a bitch myself), in terms of where you were on your bike on the road/carpark, were you adhering to road rules?
Of course, her hitting you always puts her into the wrong-you're a cyclist, as if she wouldn't see you. Not to mention that she just left without any knowledge of whether you were actually ok.
Press charges-then she will have to own up because you have the police report and medical proof
and of course
Sue her. Not just for injuries, but lost wages and bike etc.
You are the second person I know that got hurt riding their bike in the past two weeks. That is seriously fucked up! I am glad you are okay but I know how much bruises hurt - espeically when they are not wanted! Take care and be careful. Stay away from those nasty bikes man, I think they are trying to kill us all! LOL!
