Musings while listening to iTunes on shuffle...

Music videos were both the best thing and the worst thing that ever happened to Huey Lewis and the News. I pretty much take every 80s video with a grain of salt - after all, they were the new "it" thing, and every manager thought they were mandatory to "make it", meaning that a lot of good artists are remembered less for good music and more for one good video - so I already figured Huey Lewis and the News were a good 80s group. That, and I mostly hear them on the radio anyway.

It's sad that people remember Dire Straits for the Money for Nothing video when they did so much other outstanding work, and Knopfler had to be talked into it. Same with Peter Gabriel and Sledgehammer.

One of the best concerts I saw was Huey Lewis & the News back in the late 90's.
