Wow... has it really been over a month since I've updated this thing? Ridiculous. It's not that I don't really have anything to talk about - on the contrary, I'm sure I'll have plenty to ramble about here in this entry. I've just been really busy, I suppose. Between work and school, I'm putting in between 50 and 60 hours a week in non-free time

And your description of the U8 team reminds me of my brother's old Little League teams. He once managed to make an unassisted triple play - which , if you don't know baseball, never, never, NEVER happens, EVER - in part because the other team just didn't know how the game worked as well as he did. The coach's comment afterwards was, "What would be really great is if half the kids on our team understood what just happened."
