I loved this!!! People really do get all crazy about their BEGINNER ceramics classes. I had a friend who took one and was like, "CERAMICS ARE MY LIFE NOW. WHERE CAN I FIND A KILN???"

Your castle is great. :) I love the symbolism and how nicely it came out!

Autobiographical architecture ... that really appeals to me, although I don't know what sort of thing I'd choose for myself.

That's an adorable castle! I feel like it needs a long lock of Rapunzel's hair falling out of the window, LOL. :)

This is a great story :) You reminded me of a story of an art teacher who tells his ceramics class, "this half of the room, you will be graded on one perfect pot at the end of the semester. That half of the room, you will be graded on the total weight of pots you make--100lbs is an A, 85lbs is a B, etc." And the group that made better art was the weight group, because they explored and tried lots of things instead of trying to make one perfect thing and second-guessing themselves all the time.

I love your baby castle :)
