Not often I'm disgusted by things our governments (local or national) do. Disapprove of, certainly. Protest against, very very occasionally. But to actively be disgusted by? To think that whoever came up with this should not be able to look at themselves in the mirror without being ashamed

Ought to be, but they'll just say 'It's all down to the mess the previous government left' and then high-five each other once the cameras are off them.

Words don't fail me, exactly. But I tend to try not to post *that* many expletives on other people's blogs.

This is utterly repulsive. I've seen a couple of things I'd class as almost this awful from the current government, but - no, this is the worst.

The current government is one of the major reasons I still live in Edinburgh - because to some extent we're sheltered from the Crazy, and worst case there's always the "cast off the lifeboats" option of Scottish independence.

It's a good thing that we have a Clarity Act in Canada to cover rules of organizing a secession referendum in case of insanities of that sort cropping up.

Not sure if you're aware but terminally ill people are also being found fit for work under the ESA assessment. Oh, and DWP are already writing to people on CESA to tell them about the time-limitation, before the law's been passed. Now is a very bad time to be anything other than completely fit and well in this country.
