the cuberoot of 222 is simply 2, silly.

WOAH. You just blew my mind. That's not the answer I was going for, but it does satisfy all the equations. So you win!

All right: Problem 2. solve for x:
x + x = 4
2x = 22
10x = 102
xy - 1 = y
1 - xy = y
yx - 1 = y
1 - yx = 2 - y

x is so clearly 2 it's not even funny. anyone could tell you that. :)

That's fine for the first couple of equations, but not the new y ones.
