LONG overdue for an update...

Okay okay, again I've been slacking on keeping you all updated on the happenings in my oh-so-thrilling life. I'm sure you've been going through withdrawls. Am I right? :) Okay I have to look back and see what the last thing I updated you all about was! Oh yeah my sucky job. Blah.

since then, what's been going on. Mostly I've been working. I did house-sit for a few days, and that was good. Earned some money doing that which is always nice. I've been teaching guitar lessons too - and that's a lot of fun. I teach a family from my church, dad and two girls, Sarah is 10 and Samantha is 8. They have another little sister Mary and a little brother Jack too - and Mary may start guitar here before too long to. I started teaching them last summer, and we picked it up again this summer, and they're really doing great!

Let's see work....work is mostly still sucky. We got the new phone system in, and the people who were training us, and setting it up were really great to work with. Everything is working smoothly and all that - the new automated system, is up and running. If you call the store, you hear my voice on the menu. "Thank you for calling JCPenney located at Valley River Center. Our store hours are..." I'm already a lot less busy on the phones at the switchboard, which is good and bad. It makes it less crazy/stressful for me - but now they bring me crap to do - and it means that they are for sure going to "phase out" the switchboard. :P So that brings us back to the whole where will Jennifer work soon?!?!? This week and next I have the schedule from hell. Out of 9 shifts...I close 8 of them! YUCK!

Other work news...yesterday was my friend Angie's last day at JCP. Sad day! :( I dont' know what I'll do without her there! Who will I complain to now?!?!?

This past weekend was really crazy, busy, fun, good! :) On Friday, I got up super early - well like 6:30 - and actually cooked myself breakfast. Then I went to the bloodbank, where I had an appointment with the vampires at 8:00. I gave them my blood, ate some cookies and then went to work. After work, I went to the bank and all that kinda stuff. And then came home, then at about 11:10 p.m., Joe and I went to the mall and got in line for our copies of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince!!!! I came home, and read the first chapter, then I had to go to sleep.

Saturday, my ma came down to get me, and then we went to a garage sale and to Wal*Mart, and got a few things. Then headed to J-town. We hung out there and then went to Woodburn for my cousin Josh's wedding. It was HOT in the church, and the priest was drunk, i'm 98% sure. The reception was fun, REALLY good food, and LOTS of beer. It was held at the beer gardens place at the Mt. Angel Oktoberfest. Good choice of location! It was fun to see a bunch of my cousins and stuff. After the reception, my cousins Whitney & Wendy and Kevin, Wendy's husband, and I decided to go see "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" - well my niece, Anya, decided to come back to my parents with us, instead of going back to Beaverton, where Evan was playing a soccer tournament, so she came to the movie too. It was fun.

Sunday, Mom, Dad, Anya and I headed up to Beaverton, or BeaverTRON as Erin Pitney calls it, to watch Evan play some soccer, or as its called in other parts of the world, football, or futbol. LOL Basically, I read my Harry Potter book through the entire first game. Then we went to lunch at Applebee's - eatin' good in the neighborhood - where I had a delicious Cowboy Burger. Then my dad decided we should go bowling, so we did. Anya and I were golf bowling...which means it doesn't matter if you suck, cuz you WANT to get a low score! After that, Evan had to head back to get ready for the next game, which was the championship game. And my dad decided that we needed ice cream, so we drove around and almost got lost in Beavertron looking for an ice cream place. We finally found a Baskin Robbins and got our ice cream, and then headed back to the soccer game. Evan's team, Crossfire, won their game, so that was good news. They won the whole tournament or something like that. :) Then we finally headed back to J-Town. Monday I got up and came back to Eugene and went to work. I finally finished Harry Potter late Monday night!

Today was a good/busy day off work. I made lemon bars and ate them, and I taught a guitar lesson, and then I met Stephanie for dinner cuz she was down here for IntroDUCKtion at UO, so we went to The Glenwood. Yummy! Tomorrow its back to work, blah!

A week from today I will be in Kansas! Woo! Going for a family reunion. Good times! I can hardly wait! :)
