I'd be lying if I said I got any sleep. After the phone call from Faith, I spent the majority of the night tossing and turning. By the time the sun came up, I was tired of it

Ok, so sleeping is a nice thing. Andrew and I had our weekly movie night last night, and those always run late, and sleep is my friend. Plus, I think I always have a junk food hang over.
That was when my peaceful sleep was disturbed by knocking and a voice. Buffy? I rolled over and glanced at the clock. 7:30, is she out of her mind. Sitting up slowly I ran my hands over my face and through my hair, sighing frustratedly. I grabbed my patch off the nightstand and pulled it on, then got out of bed.
Leaving my room I shuffled to the door, in my boxers, and opened it up, leaning on the door frame. "Hey Buff...what's the matter?"
Obvious question, some might call that a stupid question.
"I'm sorry. I don't even know what time it is, I saw the sun come up and figured I'd be good. Listen... I uh, got a phone call last night. Unexpected. We need to talk, do you think I could... come inside?"
This wasn't exactly 'let me tell you my exciting news while you're standing in your boxers in the hallway' news. More like 'you might want to put on some clothes and have a seat' news.
I raised a brow at her stupid question of the day number one. But I didn't say anything sarcastic about it for two reasons. One, because I was too tired to thing of a good quip and two, because she looked way out of it, and in a really bad way too.
Scratching at the back of my neck idly, I stepped aside. "Duh you can come in," I said dryly, closing the door behind her. "I think Andrew may still be asleep, or just chilling in his room, so we may want to keep quiet if it's one of those 'few should know' things."
I shuffled to my room and grabbed my robe from behind the door and pulled it on then started towards the kitchen. "Want some coffee?" I asked softly through a yawn.
"Well, everyone will know soon enough... but I think for right now, I want it on a need to know basis."
I dragged myself into the kitchen and waited for him to emerge from his room. I sat down at the kitchen table, and contemplated how I was going to approach this thing.
I looked over at him as he returned, stifling a yawn I nodded.
"Yeah, coffee would be great. Hey, I am sorry for the whole, wakey bright and early thing... I didn't even know what time it was, I just saw the sun come up and figured I'd be good."
I scowled from behind my mug at her comment. "So not cool Buff. Below the belt so early in the morning. Gimme a break will ya?" I rolled my eye and put my mug down, cracking my neck slightly.
"She can stay at Willow's or something. She's got an extra room. But yeah, dreams first, then sleep...well...you know what I mean."
I stood up and stretched, hearing, and feeling, a few things pop in my back. "Until then...back to bed for me."

"Yeah... we wouldn't want anymore Xander, Faith moments." I giggled.
"Sorry Xand, you left that wide open."
And he did. Joking about the situation was my way of dealing with it, and he knew that. I still found it hard to believe that Faith and Xander...
I shuddered.
"Don't worry, I'm sure we'll figure something out. Right now, my main concern is these dreams."
I tried to stifle another yawn, but failed.
"And trying to figure out how I'm going to make it through the day."

I stood up from the barstool and listened to him creak and crack. I laughed before giving him a big hug.
"Thank you Xander, really, it means a lot."
Retreating from the hug, I walked over to the door and opened it.
"Go, get some sleep."
I walked out the open door, and turned around.
"Don't forget, two o' clock." I added with a smirk before turning and closing the door.
Xander Harris could almost always make me feel a little bit better.
