Hey there,

I don't know if you've seen any of the advertising posts around fandom, but I and a friend are running a new Big Bang challenge called warbigbang. I wanted to bring your attention to it specifically because, well, you're my favorite author in the Band of Brothers fandom, and I think you would be an excellent addition to our list of writers! I'm not trying to pressure you into anything, simply letting you know that this is going on in case you missed it and wanted to get in on the fun. :) We're accepting fics from any war fandom - BoB, GenKill, Pacific, etc - as well as AUs of war fandoms or AUs of other fandoms that get set in a war context. (Phew!) So I hope you'll think about it - it would be so great to have you on board!

thank you fory our kind e-mail! i did read about the warbigbang. and i was sorely tempted, but i ran out of bobfic ideas. :-/

i am writing a really long fic that features ray person and george luz but it's a weird crossover and while it talks about the war, it takes place afterwards so i don't think it counts. it also takes place in a mental hospital because ray and george are nurses. so, um. yeah. i've got 21,000 words so far, but i don't think that qualifies for a war big bang.

Oh that definitely qualifies! I mean, we're allowing AUs that have characters from BoB or GK, even if they're not soldiers anymore, so yours is well within the bounds of our rules. :) But you obviously don't need the motivation of the challenge to get you to write it, so it's totally up to you whether you include it in warbigbang or not! That would mean you'd have to wait a while to post it, so it's completely up to you. Regardless, Luz and Ray? Sounds AWESOME. :D

dude, are you kidding me? that COUNTS? even with a weird xover that includes river tam, people from cm and alpha from dollhouse?

i'll go read the rules. maybe i will sign up then. * goes to find out more *

Thanks for the information. I think that you should wash your face at least 3 to 4 times a day. You’ll be surprised how much better your face will look.
