multi-chapter is a royal pain. most of my incomplete WiPs are multi-chapter

bonus points for quoting me! *snuggles* graphic content is almost always a turn-off, especially when it's of the NC-17 variety. i'll read sex in fic but the second a "cock" or "cunt" appears, i'm just done. that seriously lacks respect for the act itself and the individuals involved which I think is what turns me off to any fic. if a character's ooc or the plot's a joke or the author didn't use spell-check or if the sex and/or violence is totally gratuitous, those things all denote a lack of respect which puts a fic/author beyond redemption for me
