It was more comfortable, a soft darkness. No sound. Just floating.
But slowly, a crack of light starting coming through, getting brighter and hotter. It hurt, burning my brain.
"Ayyy" I yelled in my near-sleeping state.
I could hear beeping, and monitor noises behind me.
What was going on.

Hearing her cries I ran in and took her hand, "Mommy? It's ok. You'll be ok."

I hadn't noticed Dawn sitting next to her, I felt horrible that I hadn't noticed sooner, I was just concerned about Joyce and what was harming her. "Dawn..." I said simply not sure what else to say. "Where is Buffy?" I finally ask, she should be here.

"Hi Dawnie, hi Rupert. What happened?" I was tired, and my head throbbed.
I had the sinking feeling I was back in the hospital.

"You and I were talking then you suddenly colapsed." I told her rather matter of factly. I didn't know what else to do, facts always did come easy to me, I believe I felt comfortable in knowing the details, the unknown things only made me worry. "We had to rush you here" I finally added as I pulled myself out of my thoughts.

"See Dawn, it's probably nothing." I looked at Rupert with worry in my eyes that I was unwilling to show my daughter.
"Just a quick overnight stay, and a test next week. I'm sure it's just a few headaches." I smiled, trying to reassure those around me.
"Where's Buffy?"

"Thank you Dr." I nodded to Ben and sent a look to Giles to find out what they thought tomorrow. That, and to look at the the girls' first, and then me. I hoped he understood.
"Don't worry girls," I gave them the ol' mom smile "As soon as I'm set in a bed, you guys can come in. And maybe eat my jello..." I smiled bigger.
This wouldn't be so bad. They'd find out what was up, right?
