Back to school for two weeks now, and I'm still not feeling it anymore. It is going to be a long year. I really wish I'd tried harder to find a library job, even if it meant a little bit of a cut in pay. I am so not looking forward to grading and lesson planning. It's been a long time since I wrote. And my summer just got worse. In July my grandpa went into the hospital, then to John Knox Village, then to KC Hospice where he died. Basically in one summer, I lost my grandpa, and he'd just been at a family birthday party and my brother's wedding in April and May. Nothing wrong other than old age at that ( Read more... )

I can't believe it, but I just found out that there was a screening of Clerks II in Kansas City last night, at the theater I usually go to, worked by someone I work with at the bookstore!! And Kevin Smith was there!! AAAAAAAA!! I never get to do anything so cool!! I also just read in Kevin's blog about it.

Okay, so I haven't quite finished watching yet and I don't know who has won, but it's been such an awesome show!! I'm totally loving hearing Elliott sing at this moment. Yesterday I got a letter from my bank saying I'd had insufficient funds to pay a bill I'd paid online Saturday. This freaked me out, I thought I'd been doing so much better about keeping track.
