Mitsuru is sitting on a bench, a Plusle perched on her shoulder while a small group of school-aged children (only about three of them) sit around her. She looks as though she is concentrating deeply, but there is a soft smile on her lips too]

I must admit, I never pictured you as a teacher.

[If Mitsuru looks at the background, she will be able to see that it's dark. Also, Athrun is wearing his winter coat, and his breath is visible.]

[SOME TIME LATER after she's done with the kids]

-- Athrun? Did... ah. I see.

My apologies, I didn't mean for that lesson to be recorded.

There's no need. It was interesting to see, and it might have gotten you some extra business.

Business? I never intended to turn this into a job. It was an impromptu lesson as it is; I never really saw myself as a teacher either.

[She's spending time with children? CROW LIKES HER ALREADY. But that aside--]

[sigh whoops, she didn't mean for this to be recorded. but she might as well go with the flow]

That's correct. It's one of my favorite languages.

[Nothing to be ashamed of!]

You're pretty good at it! ... Not that I would know, since I've only heard little of it, heh. [Only when a French lady was trying to kill him.]

The kids look like they're having fun!

Thank you. I've been studying since I was a child.

[a nod] They did seem very engrossed in the lesson, which was a good thing.

French is a very tricky language ... but you are very good at handling them.

[ She is impressed by how she handles the children. Teaching is not an easy occupation and requires a lot of patience. ]

Ah... thank you. It was an impromptu lesson, and they were fairly well behaved.

Well... I believe it is because they like and respect you too.

[glances over in the direction the kids ran off in]

All children should respect their elders, particularly those who are trying to teach them.

[Oh, the joy of being a mimic......]

That's pretty cool! So I say that when I want to introduce myself, right?

[What it's French, really...]

[a chuckle] That's correct, though you would change 'Mitsuru Kirijo' to your own name.

[The Doctor is spending the day, enjoying the good weather with Romana by his side. The school catches his attention - maybe one of the teachers could give him some more information about this place - and when he overhears the language lesson, he decides that he's more than qualified to participate.]

Well, I think you're all doing very well! Especially Miss Kirijo - your French is excellent, where did you learn it? Or are you a native speaker - I mean, I wouldn't guess that from your name, but you never can tell, can you?

[Both Mitsuru and the children glance up in surprise at the newcomer, and Mitsuru nods at him in greeting]

Thank you. I took lessons when I was a child, after a few extended stays in Paris. It isn't my native language, but I have been practicing for most of my life.
