[See Mitsuru. See Mitsuru covered in mud, with smallish tree branches stuck in the locks of her red hair. She seems to have finally made it to Cherrygrove City, if the buildings behind her are any indication of her location, but it definitely looks like she didn't have an easy time getting there. Mitsuru + the wilderness when by herself = bad ( Read more... )

[Naoto comes up to Mitsuru towards the end of the message. She has her 'gear on so there might be a little bit of an echo.]

I heard that you have a missing person? Perhaps I can assist you in the search.

I encountered mention the group briefly while researching for a case of mine. There seemed to be no direct connection so I did not look into the group further at the time.

[oh now that's interesting. Considering the nature of the Kirijo Group's early work, she has to wonder what kind of case would lead Naoto to them]

I must admit, I'm rather curious about that case. [though she won't pry, because the client might have wanted to keep the information confidential]

If you are aware of the serial murders in the town of Inaba for much of the past year, that is the case. While we have now successfully captured the true criminal and removed the means it was... a difficult case, to say the least.

Serial murders in Inaba? [sob coming from a time before the murders]

Was it a highly publicized crime?

Quite, for murders occurring in a very small town. The first murders took place in April of 2011 and the case itself was not officially closed until December.

-- ah. [and there's her answer] I see why I haven't heard of it, then. It was April, 2010 when I was brought here.

[She's surprised] Ah... I see. That is an unexpected development.

[Thoughtful] So whatever force brought us here has power over time, as well as the ability to remove us to a different world entirely.

[she crosses her arms over her chest and nods]

Several of my comrades from home come from points earlier in time as well. One is from as far back as September, 2009.

[She isn't aware of Kanji's timeline point yet or she could say the same.]

And assuming we come from the same...timeline, I arrived from March, 2012.

Nearly two years after the point in time I'm from...

How very bizarre.

I am in full agreement. On the other hand, considering some things I myself have witnessed, I cannot count it beyond the realm of possibility. Our kidnapper is powerful indeed.

And all of us stripped of our defenses and weapons, excepting the partners we were given.

[Mitsuru looks a little pensive herself, because having her Persona stripped away is like losing a part of her psyche. She doesn't like it, one bit]

I can't help but ask... why. What is the point to all this?

I cannot say, without having further clues. That it is some form of test, or a way to cause chaos, for example, seem equally likely at the moment.
