Have been on a long hiatus, due to far too much homework and the bad timing of a horrible cold. It sucked, but I am better now.

Went into London this last weekend, on Saturday. It was a great day.

Started out by stopping by the Chelsea Football Club and meeting Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy, for the unenlightened). He is a total sweetheart. So are his mom and at least one of his older brothers, who were both there helping out. His mom was the nicest lady you can imagine- she managed to kind of run the event and keep the loads of little teenage girls in line while still seeming like the most down to earth lady. Like I can just imagine her going out to coffee with my mom or something. Maybe that's what it was- they all made you feel like they already knew you and like you. I talked with her a bit while I waited in line, as I was probably the oldest person there not accompanying a daughter. Tom, as I mentioned, is a great guy. He's pretty laid back, and just very friendly and cool. We talked a bit as he was signing my stuff. The pen he was using kept freaking out on him, so I got to stand and talk with him while he signed several different pictures, trying to get one to work. Got my picture taken with him, and then stepped aside and talked with his older brother a bit while waiting for the people I had talked with while standing in line. Brother was also really nice- I asked him if they teased Tom about all the attention, and he said oh yeah. I mean, some of the younger girls bring like stuffed animals and stuff. You can tell the family is really close, though, and I had a great time. I was impressed by how just 'normal' they all were.

After meeting Tom, I met up with some friends from home. One of them is going to school in Greenich, and the other two were down visiting one guy's dad for Thanksgiving. So I met up with those guys and we just hung around in London. Went to Camden town, then got to see my friend's dad's flat, which was in central London and amazingly beautiful, so you know someone's company is putting out some major bucks. It was such fun, and it was awesome to hang out with some of my best friends from college. It's great to meet new people and all that, but I've missed my close friends from home. We stopped at a pub for drinks and just talked for a while, stopped by the Hard Rock Cafe vault and got to go down and play on like Jimi Hendrick's guitar, Keith Richards, Kurt Cobain, etc. It was really cool, and we got to play with all the stuff cuz the guy whose dad lives in London had worked there last summer and knew the guys in charge. Went out for dinner later, and then to another pub and just hung out.

Speaking of home, my dad's coming out to visit in about a week, and I can't wait. I'll be done with most of my schoolwork, and we'll get a chance to just hang out a bit.

Happy holidays everyone.
