I really enjoyed reading this, esp. because it showed me a lot of new sides about you. For example, I was always wondering what you´re working (now though I´m wondering what you do exactly) and I´m sorry to hear that you´ve been to hospital that often already *hugs* - hope your worse luck concering health/accidents is at its end now.
Most of all though I hate to hear that you feel sick right now, so I´m sinding you BIG hugs AND kisses and really hope you´ll be better soon, hon!
Andi! For some reason I didn't get alerts on this post and only just saw your comment *spanks LJ*
I'm pleased you got to learn some new things about me :)
For my job, I work for my city council, and whenever anyone wants to buy or sell property/land (or develop it) in the area they apply to my team and we research the history for them and condense it into a legal report. It's both the most boring job in the world sometimes (because it's very repetitive) and also the most interesting, because I know so much about my city. I just really wish it paid better!
Oh, don´t worry, sometimes comments just get lost ;).
Funny coincidence, that we´re both working for our city councils ;). And in a way it´s also good to know that the payment in public service sucks, no matter where ;). Though I think we can´t complain, must be still enough to fund cons ;)
And if you know so much about your city and are fed up with your job, you could become a tourist guide, in worst case ;)
Land Historian isn't my official title - but it's what I call myself, because I am a trained historian and it helps keep me motivated with my work :) Basically I work for my city and I research and write reports on the history of land/property for people looking to buy, sell, develop. It's interesting and also a little boring, but I've discovered that is all dependent on how I choose to look at it :)
LOL! I love that you learned a new word. I bet we have heaps of terms that are unique to where we are from.
