Hi there,
We're in a few of the same communities together, and I had a question for you (if you don't mind :) ). I noticed that you're planning on knitting diaper covers, and I'm wondering if you've found a good pattern/instructions anywhere? I'm drawing a bit of a blank and I'd like to do the same.
Thanks! Sorry to intrude on your journal.

i primarily use the free fern and faerie soaker pattern and have had good results with it. if you're an experienced knitter, it's an easy pattern to start with and adapt as you see fit. i have a knitting guide that helped me do the kitchener stitch (i don't think the pattern does a good enough job explaining it). i made a couple 'trial' soakers with this pattern for a friends' baby and she loves them! they have good coverage. i add 'legs' to the soakers by picking up stitches around the leg holes and knitting stockinette stitch for 9 or 10 rows. i think that helps keep the moisture in at the bottom. i'll have to post some finished photos soon! : )

Hi. Sorry to be random but I wandered on to your journal from the attached parenting group. Would you mind if I added you? I'm Vanessa, I live in the UK and I have a daughter called Matilda :) I don't know how much we have in common but I thought your journal looked interesting.
