i'm sure that if you look at any online news source it will be the main story. but basically all those 'illegal' folks from south of the border? they want some godamn rights after contributing so much to our economy. and i sa: 'bout time.
so there was a work/purchasing boycott today by immigrants -- the goal was to illustrate how integral they are to the american economy. it was pretty cool really, because a lot of agriculture people let their crews miss work to go to the rallies and such. i love how this is one issue that agriculture communities are pretty much liberal on (since they KNOW how hard these folks have worked).

I mean seriously, this nation is one of immigrants. The only question is how recent. I really object to those who would shut the door to those doing exactly what their parents or grandparents did. And I REALLY object to those who have no problem with me being here but would if I was poor and from Mexico....
And I went to work today. By the time I found out about "a day without an immigrant" it was too late to arrange the time off. Boo Hiss.
Take a little time to see "A Day Without A Mexican". It is really funny, a little over the top but very funny and I think they should make it compulsory viewing in middle school (and congress right now).

i've wanted to see that movie for awhile ...
yes. we are all immigrants. this is what was running through my head all day: To say that someone has no rights because they have no right to have them is to dismiss injustice with circular logic. or something like that.
