Oh my goodness, Katie... THAT is what I miss about living in the States. That is absolutely beautiful.
And you know, I too never even thought about kale until it was exploding in Nancy's garden thanks to a previous student who let a huge plant go to seed the year before. I got in the habit of picking a few leaves each couple of days and steaming it with tempeh and dousing it with a little bit of Bragg's. Ah, so, so good.
But then again, it's mango season here, so I suppose there's an upside to everything. :)

I wish I actually had FOOD coming out of my garden. Only the slugs get food out of my garden. Nope, I'm not bitter.
