You won't find it on the library website, but... did I ever give you a copy of my aunt's book? It's her thoughts on faith and farming, written while she and her husband have been working the land that my dad grew up on. They've converted it to completely organic and almost-completely horsepowered production -- which, needless to say, is a little unusual when you're smack-dab in the middle of North Dakota.
Anyway, check out their website at www.fivepennypress.com, and if you like what you see, let me know! I'd be happy to ask my dad to send you a copy; I think they still have a couple of extras.
Other than that... have you read much David James Duncan recently? I've heard that his new book, God Laughs and Plays, is worth looking into.

His first novel, "The River Why," is my favorite book in the whole world. (It's kind of similar to The Brothers K, but with fishing in the place of baseball and more creative word-play. And, it's set outside of Portland!) When I loaned it to my dad to read while he was recovering from minor surgery a few years ago, he had to stop reading because he was literally laughing his stitches out.
i really liked strange piece of paradise by terri jentz and am currently enjoying the bill from my father by bernard cooper. good stuff both. different and good.
